Time?
With today's busy lifestyles, many parents
can be deprived of any regular quality Family Time
with their children. Wednesday Word Family Time is
a very special 10 minutes, weekly time together. It focuses
on talking and listening to each other and is suitable for
families with primary school children of all ages.
Wednesday Word Family Time is a
time when family members really get to know each other at
a deeper level. It seeks to assist parents and carers to help
their children to live well in our present day culture; to
help them grow in goodness and make safe and wise choices
as they mature.
Children need to know that they are loved
unconditionally, and we help them develop positive self-esteem
by communicating the value we feel for them. Words of encouragement
and love will come naturally from time spent focusing on the
words of Jesus in Wednesday Word Family Time together.
This special time together has a spiritual
and faith focus. It has been extensively trialled and is invaluable
for building and maintaining long lasting family relationships.
